The 62th annual Rome Science Fair will be held on Saturday March 2nd 2019 at Rome Free Academy at 8am. Home-schooled students are more than welcome.
Guidelines: Good Science Projects usually involve a combination of a keen interest in the subject, discussions with others, examination of literature and the availability of needed materials. A bit of advance planning will save time, effort, and money. Follow Scientific processes. Today, with access to research databases and spreadsheets, a ten-step Scientific Method is recommended:
- State the Problem.
- Develop a Hypothesis.
- Do Literature Research [read as much as possible]
- Prepare the Experiment
- Conduct the Experiment
- Tabulate the results from the Experiment
- Analyze the results of the Experiment
- Apply Experimental Results to Hypothesis
- State Conclusions
- Make Recommendations [what research/experiment to do next]
The categories are listed below with STEM categories first.
- Computer Science
- Space Science
- Behavioral and Social Sciences
- Earth Science
- Environmental Sciences
- Medicine and Health
